The Plot
Elf is a heartwarming holiday movie that tells the story of Buddy, a human who was raised as one of Santa’s elves in the North Pole. When Buddy discovers that he is not actually an elf, he sets off to New York City to find his real father, who is on Santa’s naughty list. Along the way, Buddy spreads Christmas cheer and helps those around him, including his father and a love interest named Jovie.
The Cast
Elf stars Will Ferrell as Buddy, the lovable and naive elf-turned-human. His infectious energy and childlike wonder make him the perfect fit for the role. James Caan plays Buddy’s father, Walter, a workaholic who has lost touch with the Christmas spirit. Zooey Deschanel plays Jovie, a department store employee who helps Buddy navigate his new life in the city.
The Humor
Elf is a comedy through and through, with Will Ferrell’s over-the-top performance providing plenty of laughs.
